Coach Angel C
I joined this amazing sport back in 2011 after having my first child, initially to meet some new people and to get back in shape. I was invited to my first open water swim by a group of local triathletes, and was HOOKED! From there I competed in multiple Sprint- and Olympic-distance triathlons and ended my first season with Ironman 70.3 in Augusta. Since then I have completed 8 Ironman 70.3’s, countless Sprint/Olympic-distance races, gained the title of Ironman All World Athlete, many years as top 25 in the state for USAT – which has also landed me invitations to USAT Nationals for many years running. In 2016 and 2017, I ended every Sprint and Olympic distance race on the podium with wins in the Overall Female category, as well as an age-grouper. In 2018, I am looking to add Ironman Arizona to my list of accomplishments.
My professional background is in business, with a Masters in Business Administration (MBA). I am highly organized, structured and motivated not only as an athlete, but also as a coach. I also value good communication, find myself readily available and I am present on social media (Facebook and Instagram). My current certification is as a Level 1 Coach with USA Triathlon.
My biggest joy in my life comes from being a wife and mother to my three children – Anna, Lucy and Owen. I enjoy the balance that this sport brings to my life and look forward to helping those who also want to take advantage of all that triathlon has to offer!
