Tri Coach Georgia and FX Multisport Coaching have partnered to bring you the Chattanooga half iron training camp that is an intensive on course training weekend.
Here is a bulleted agenda to outline the camp.
Friday, April 13, 2018:
6p-730p – Packet pick up. Location to be announced.
Saturday, April 14, 2018:
Morning swim (time TBD) with on water transportation by United States Stove Company
Mid-morning – Lectures to review weekend plans and course overview
Mid-day – Run the race course
Evening – Social and dinner included in your camp fee
Sunday, April 15, 2018:
Ride – Ironman 70.3 Chattanooga route with SAG by East Ridge Bicycles
THERE IS A NO REFUND POLICY FOR ALL PORTIONS OF THIS CAMP! There are significant fixed costs to produce this camp and refunds will not be available. Transfers to another participant or future camp are possible with advanced notice.
The camp will begin on Friday evening, April 13, 2018 with packet pick up. (location to be announced)
Saturday morning will begin with a swim of the course with on water transportation provided by United States Stove Company. After the swim, we will gather in a warm place near the swim exit to get updates about the weekend run and ride as well as race course training tips and answer any questions you have about your training prep, the race course or the venue. After the lectures, you will run the race course and have several distance and pace options. Saturday evening we will meet at a local restaurant for some food and socializing. There will also be time for triathlon q&a if needed. Dinner is included in your camp registration fee.
Sunday wraps up the camp with a course ride. SAG will be provided by East Ridge Bicycles.
The one camp fee gets you access to all these events.
This is a race course preview so plan your weekend accordingly. Tri Coach Georgia and FX Multisport Coaching recommends racing how you train so even though there will be on course support these are open waters and roads with you performing at your own pace.
The coaches encourage attendees to provide their own on course nutrition for the bike and run segments in addition to our support.
A water station will be available on the run course. The coaches recommend running with your hydration system and refilling it at the run station.
Whether this is your first half iron distance triathlon and are looking for a course preview, a supportive team atmosphere as well as weight loss or nutrition tips or you are a competitive athlete looking to dial in your last few weeks of course specific training, this camp is for you.
Expect the weekend training camp to be to be cool. The average temps are lows in the low 40’s with highs in the low 70’s. The swim will be wetsuit legal.
Discounted room rates are available and reservation information will be sent to you upon completion of your registration. The room discount expires on March 14, 2018 at midnight so book your room early!
Once you register, you’ll get a link to download a full training plan to prep you for the camp and you can even use it to prep you for the race.
